<---Bell & Howell projector all ready to go. No manual. Unfortunately I do not know the model number and can't find any info on this on the unit either.

I have been in contact with someone who has a web page of Bell & Howell projectors. He sure sounds like he knows his stuff. He thought it could be a model 138 Filmsound Academy. He also said it was similar to model 179. I am not doubting him. My only doubt is the timeframes involved with these models. The 138 is circa 1936-1940. The 179 is circa 1945-1949. The projector was my dad's and the timeframe of the 179 model fits much better with his age. But I don't know either way. Just providing info I received.

<---Inside projector shown working. The front arm is not moving because I don't have film loaded. The projector works perfectly for showing 16mm film. THE SOUND IS UNTESTED BECAUSE I DON'T HAVE CABLES (and I don't have any 16mm movies with sound to test anyhow). The little light inside the projector needs to be replaced. I don't know how to open up that mechanism to change it. This light being out has never been an issue anyway. I just thread the film with the room lights on and then turn off the room lights to show the film.

<---I can show you this working for viewing (but I don't have the means to test the sound).

<---Inside projector (packed).

<---Projector arms mounted in front door for storage.

<---Power cord inputs and speaker cable. I DO NOT HAVE THE SPEAKER CABLE.

<---Lens, crank to raise projector front, speaker jack input. I DO NOT HAVE THE SPEAKER JACK CABLE. I don't know for sure, but it appears to be a standard RCA speaker jack.

<---Extra springs for back reel arm.

<---Power cord for both projector and amplifier..

<---Projector when fully closed up.

<---Bell & Howell name plate and well worn carrying handle (I would no longer trust the carrying handle).

<---Bell & Howell name plate and well worn carrying handle (I would no longer trust the carrying handle).

<---Screen measures 49.5" wide, 47.5" viewing area wide (the white part), 50" tall, 48" viewing area tall (the white part). Screen is in perfect condition. No holes or scratches. All mechanisms work easily and perfectly.

<---Screen manufacturer Radiant and model Leader.

<---Back of screen.

<---Back of screen. Marked "Fungus Resistenat". Says it's 37x50, but that is incorrent.

<---Screen. When fully folded, measures 56.5" x 5.5" x 3", with a carrying handle.

<---Five take up reels (all measurements are diameter), 15" metal, 13.75" metal, 7" metal with metal case, 3.75" plastic with metal case, 3.75" plastic with metal case..
